Montréal, February 11, 2026 — The Montreal-based Quasar Saxophone Quartet will embark on a major Canadian tour, reaffirming its position as a leading force in contemporary music. Traveling from St. John’s to Winnipeg, with key stops in Edmonton, the quartet will present a series of performances and collaborations that highlight its ongoing commitment to musical creation, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

Montreal, February 10, 2026 — Quasar is deeply grateful to receive the Opus Award for “Performer of the Year.” This distinction is especially meaningful to us, as it recognizes not only our work but also our ongoing commitment to creation and artistic dialogue.

Le Vivier launches the Museond Prize for Creativity in Mixed Music, a unique initiative dedicated to contemporary composition. This annual award, created through the support of John Fairbrother, founder of the Museond Fund, offers Canadian citizens and permanent residents the opportunity to compose an original work for acoustic instruments and electronic devices.
