Take a trip through the musical history of the saxophone!

With From Bach to Zappa, Quasar offers an eclectic, energetic and festive concert that reveals the multifaceted nature of the saxophone. From the universe of the great Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach to that of Frank Zappa, the quartet spans a cosmic distance in 75 minutes, taking in Alexander Glazunov, who offers us the only Romantic masterpiece for saxophones, and Will Gregory, whose piece will have the baritone sax “jigging” (to name but a few)... all the while making sure to showcase new Quebec works created by Quasar over the last three decades.
