As part of a new collaboration, four new works will be composed for the quartet by composition students from the Robert Schumann Hochschule, Düsseldorf’s renowned music university.

On October 22, 2026, Quasar will take part in a workshop dedicated to the development of these new creations. Throughout the day, the quartet will support the students’ creative process by providing feedback, guidance, and artistic insights.

The workshop will conclude with a public concert at the SoundCube, the Robert Schumann Hochschule’s experimental sound research and creation laboratory. This event will offer both the university community and the general public an opportunity to discover these works in progress, performed by the musicians of Quasar.

The tour is supported by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts.
