Quasar celebrates its 30th anniversary with the renowned Stockholm Saxophone Quartet! After fruitful collaborations in 2019 and 2021, the 8 saxophonist-virtuosos are back with a new program for saxophone octet that will be featured a total of 6 times in Quebec and Sweden: two new works commissioned to Gordon Williamson (CA) and Martina Tomner (SE), as well as Swirls and Shades by Jenny Hettne (SE) and Saxoctet by the late José Evangelista (CA), to whom Quasar wishes to pay tribute for the occasion. For this stop in Quebec City, the program will include a new work by Charles Gagnon for saxophone quartet, as well as a new version for octet of Yannick Plamondon's Passage.
