Description
The Schulich School of Music at McGill University, in partnership with Quasar and the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet, is presenting a day dedicated to saxophonist students of all levels, who will have access to master classes, workshops and concerts. All thanks to the generous participation of Twigg Musique, Vandoren and Buffet Crampon!
Don't miss our Quasar-Chestra II concert, which will be presented the following day at the Gesù Amphitheater, where the saxophone celebration will continue in the company of the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet and students from the Schulich school!
Program
- 9:00 am: Welcoming the participants with a performance from the SSQ and Quasar
- 10:00 am: Workshops (simultaneous) Registration required

- Baritone saxophone workshop
- Tenor saxophone workshop
- Alto saxophone workshop
- Soprano saxophone workshop
- 11:00 am: Workshop / performance: saxophone and technology (in collaboration with the Digital Composition Studio)
- 12:00 noon: Lunch break / Supplier demonstrations / Schulich student performances in the entrance halls of the School
- 1:00 pm : Masterclass for soloists in the Wirth Opera Studio
- 3:00 pm : Break / Supplier demonstrations
- 3.30 pm : Masterclass for saxophone quartets in the Wirth Opera Studio
- 5:00 pm : Final reception / Supplier demonstrations / Refreshments
